Well, I had a whole other post all written up and ready for today, but it has nothing to do with Halloween! Halloween is my second favorite holiday (very close second to New years Eve), and it would just feel wrong to post today and not have it be about Halloween!
My original costume this year was a Chupacabra, and I was really excited about it. However, my bunny Bartholomew came down with a case of GI stasis all last week. he is back to about 90% health, but due to him requiring quite a bit of care and attention, I wasn’t able to get any good finishing touches done on my costume, and it felt a little half assed to me, which just sucks.
So instead of my original costume, I decided I would do a quick post about one of my favorite things to dress up as from the horror genre, zombies! I am a HUGE fan of all thing zombie. I’ve been in to zombies for at least the last fifteen years. I used to do all the zombie walks, until they got banned in Seattle (people were getting blood on the businesses, haha), I go to Zombie Prom at MOPOP most every year, and of course, I LOVE zombie movies.
As far as zombie movies go, my absolute favorite zombie movie, that I think everyone should see, is Dead Alive (aka: Brain Dead). Its actually directed by Peter Jackson! Its definitely hard to pick just one though, some other great ones to check out are; Return of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (the original, and the remake. The remake has my favorite use of music in a movie, ever), and of course Shaun of the Dead. There are so many others that I love, so if you ever feel like you need suggestions for good zombie movies, don’t hesitate to ask!
